It’s been a long time coming…
I started blogging nearly 9 years ago, mainly as a way to share my new-found love of paper crafts and stamping. I was immersed in the online community, and eventually did some design work for a handful of companies, and had several of my projects published. I loved every bit of it!
Nearly 6 years ago, my husband and I decided to make a big change for our family, and we moved our two girls out of our townhouse, and took on a project house. It was still pretty much all original to 1969 and was going to be a complete gut-job renovation. Which we decided to do ourselves. Yeah, we are our own, special kind of crazy. And yes, we are still married!
My blog took a hit. I had intended to blog our progress at the time, as we went, but it turned out to be such a huge job and took up pretty much every waking hour for 3 months straight; and that was just the upstairs! In all, we have been working away at the house for nearly the entire time we’ve lived here…. except for about an 18 month period where we added another baby to the family. Because when you’re completely tapped out physically, the best solution is getting pregnant! Yes, he was planned, so I did that completely to myself. Again, special kind of crazy.
It’s been busy around here.
The house is nearly complete (we still have some details to finish, but it’s slowly getting there), and I’m finding myself learning what it feels like to have free time again. It’s weird.
But, I knew it was time to get back to writing and sharing.
I asked my brother for some help, and together we put together this new home for my next chapter of blogging adventures. I am so thankful to those that still reached out while my blog lay silent, and encouraged me to not give up on one day getting back to it. I am also excited to welcome some new friends!
I still intend to blog some paper crafts and projects, but I want to share more. Our family has changed, evolved… and I want to share more than just one facet of who I am.
Now, you will see some home projects, some yard projects (and probably failures!), some kids’ activities (I have 3 of them; we are busy!), maybe some cooking and baking… and other ideas in between. The old blog’s tagline used to read: “A random array of what inspires me today…” and I intend to bring that to life.
Thank you so much for joining me on this new adventure! And if there is anything in particular you’re excited to see, please let me know… I love suggestions!
